Jessamine has worked as a producer in film, television and events since graduating with a degree in media and visual studies in 2004. She has been an animal rights advocate since childhood, and her passion for this cause has led her into a cheffing career where she now co-owns a catering company and Peace of Eden Lodge, the first vegan hotel in South Africa. When she's not in the kitchen cooking up a storm, she can be found conceptualizing and managing immersive and educational co-creative experiences.
“I have spent much of my life advocating the ethics of ‘consumption’, and being a chef has allowed me to practice these principles in their most fundamental form. If we are what we eat, then peace really does begin on our plate. Chefs for Change creates a platform where we can expand this notion practically and I am very excited to be part of this team of revolutionaries.”
